SAPS arrest copper thieves at Northdene Railway Station
The three suspects, aged between 21 and 28, were arrested by Malvern SAPS at Northdene Railway Station.
THREE suspects appeared at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday, September 29, for theft as well as tampering and damaging essential infrastructure.

The KZN SAPS spokesperson, Col Thembeka Mbele said the three men were arrested by Malvern police after they received a complaint of a theft of copper cables in progress at the Northdene Railway Station in Queensburgh.
“When they arrived on scene, they found a security officer chasing three men. The men fled in different directions when they saw police officers.
Police gave chase and arrested the three suspects, who are aged between 21 and 28.
“Copper cables and a bolt cutter were recovered at the scene,” reported Mbele.
