Inchanga Choo Choo train is back on track
The Umgeni Steam Railway is back on track after an enforced lockdown break.
THE Umgeni Steam Railway (USR) will start running at the end of August after an enforced lockdown break.
The USR offers a memorable ride on a vintage steam train from Kloof Railway Station through the Valley of 1000 Hills to Inchanga where a craft and food market, which supports local vendors, is situated.

The ticket includes free entry into the Modellers Shed to see the ‘mini’ trains as well as free entry into the museum to view the various South African Railway artefacts at Inchanga Station.
Standard Covid-19 protocols apply. Passengers are encouraged to book and pay early due to limited capacity as per Covid-19 regulations.
On Saturday, August 28, the train will depart from Kloof Railway Station at 12:30. On Sunday, there will be two trips, the morning train will departs at 08:30 and passengers will leave the station at 12:30 for the second trip.
Tickets cost R260 for adults, R190 for pensioners and children under 12. Children under two years (lap passenger) board in for free. There is also a family package which cost R800, two adults and two children (under 12).
