Merc driver released on R5000 bail after Glenwood ‘looting’ incident
Moloi told the court he intends on pleading guilty to his charges.
MBUSO Moloi (30), who was videoed walking back to his Mercedes Benz with a basket of items from a popular retail store in Glenwood during the recent looting spree in Durban, was released by the Durban Magistrate’s Court on R5000 bail today, Tuesday, 3 August.

Moloi told the court he intends on pleading guilty to his charges.
National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson, Natasha Kara, said Moloi was charged with public violence, theft, trespassing, and contravention of the National Road Traffic Regulations 2000 (operating a motor vehicle with a number plate displaying a license number not applicable to the motor vehicle) during the acts of public violence that took place in various parts of the province.
“He was granted bail of R5 000. His bail conditions are that he surrender his passport and not leave the province of KwaZulu-Natal without consulting with the investigating officer. The matter was postponed to August 12 for his plea application,” she said.
