Patrons are allowed to use cyber zones for 30 minutes while study hall patrons are allowed to study for a maximum of two hours.

There is a limited number of patrons per site depending on the size of the site and sites will not be allowed to issue newspapers and audio-visuals.

Several libraries are closed due to facilities being vandalised during the recent civil unrest. In cases where a library is closed, patrons can return books to their nearest libraries. The return date for books has been extended to July 31.

Reservoir Hills Library is permanently closed after being burnt down while KwaMashu Library and Umlazi AA Library are among those that remain closed.

All swimming pools remain closed until further notice.

“The public is advised that Covid-19 protocols, such as social distancing, wearing of masks and sanitisation, must be adhered to when accessing these facilities,” said the municipality.
