UPDATE: No foul play suspected in elderly Malvern woman’s death

The postmortem results revealed that Zubeida Ebrahim died of natural causes.

THE postmortem done on Zubeida Ebrahim, a 66-year-old Malvern woman who was found dead at her home in Ridley Park Road, revealed that she died of natural causes.

The body of Ebrahim, who stayed with her mentally ill son, was found by family members on Sunday.

Malvern SAPS communications officer, Sgt Sithembile Kheswa said when police arrived on scene they found that the house was broken into and copper pipes were stolen.

“It was later reported that a TV and a DVD player was also missing from the deceased’s house.”

Kheswa said two suspects have since been arrested for housebreaking.

The stolen items, a TV and a DVD player, were also recovered in Chatsworth.
