JUST IN: Woman killed in Pinetown home invasion

The woman, believed to be in her 50s, sustained severe injuries and was unfortunately declared dead.

A WOMAN, believed to be in her 50s, died after being stabbed in an alleged home invasion on Marriannhill Road, in Pinetown, just before 10am today (Monday, 8 March).

According to Advanced Life Support Paramedics spokesman, Garrith Jamieson, KZN VIP Medical Paramedics arrived on the scene together with Meditech Ambulance Service to find that the woman had been fatally stabbed.

“Despite efforts by advanced life support paramedics to resuscitate the lady, her injuries were too severe and she was declared deceased on the scene,” said Jamieson.

 Jamieson said another occupant of the house sustained moderate injuries and was stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital.

Police are currently on scene.
