Girl (12) seriously injured in N3 collision

The girl and woman sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital.

A 12-YEAR-OLD girl was seriously injured in a head-on collision on the N3. Rescue Care Paramedics spokesman, Sheldon Lombard said the incident happened this afternoon (Friday, 5 March) on the N3 near the M7.

” Rescue Care Paramedics, along with other ambulance services, arrived on the scene to find that two vehicles collided in a head-on format,” said Lombard.

He added a 12-year- old girl as well as a woman sustained serious injuries in the crash and required advanced life support care in order to be stabilised.

“Both patients were subsequently transported to nearby hospitals,” he said.

A third patient sustained minor injuries during the collision and did not require hospitalisation.
