Woman dies in three-vehicle M7 collision
One patient sustained critical injuries while the other person, in the third vehicle, sustained minor injuries.

A WOMAN was killed following a three-vehicle collision on the M7 near Pinetown yesterday evening, (Thursday, 25 February).
Rescue Care Paramedics spokesman, Sheldon Lombard said paramedics arrived on the scene to find that three vehicles were involved in a collision with two of the vehicles colliding in a head-on format.

“It was found that one patient, an adult female, sustained fatal injuries during the collision,” he said.
Lombard said an adult male, believed to be in his 30s, sustained critical injuries and was still trapped inside the wreckage of his vehicle.
“The patient was stabilised on scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics and was extricated by Rescue Care’s Rescue unit as well as the eThekwini Fire Department and transported to hospital,” said Lombard.
He reported that the person in the third vehicle sustained minor injuries during the collision.
