Three injured in Field’s Hill crash

Four vehicles were involved in the accident.

THREE people were moderately injured when four cars crashed on the M13, Pietermaritzburg bound, just after the Richmond Road off-ramp this afternoon.

“It is believed there was some sort of oil on Field’s Hill,” said Advanced Life Support Paramedics spokesman, Garrith Jamieson.

Four vehicles were involved and one of them overturned, he said.

It is believed the drivers of the vehicles drove over the oil slick, added Jamieson.

The three injured commuters were transported by KZN VIP to Hillcrest Hospital.

While the fire department and Metro SAPS cleared the accident scene, as well as the spillage, traffic was severely affected.

According to Jamieson, the traffic was backed up to Stapleton Road.
