His cool hip hop sound is reminiscent of the early 2000 when music was used to spread good vibes and positive messages.

His music career kicked off in 2008 and drew his inspiration from popular rappers, Proverb and the late Pro kid.

Since then, he has been influenced by a plethora of sounds. In 2010 he released his first debut single titled ‘Umlilo’ followed by his EP ‘Umsuka’.

In March 2019, he released his 15 track album, Ithemba, which boasts a variety of themes such as love, faith, and hope. He is now working on a new album and he just released a single titled ‘Trying’ teamed up with a vocalist Noxy Da Real, a song produced by Father Msp and a legendary Kay Master.

“My music speaks what cannot be expressed, it soothes the mind and heals a broken heart,” he said.

Through his music, Chillas said he hopes to inspire young people to be more focused, goal-orientated and use their talents to their full ability.

His music is his connection to what the world doesn’t know about him.

“I have been through my own set of ups and downs and I believe despite the challenges, music has helped me stay motivated.”

The IT graduate added that he believes that education is the key, especially if you are in the music or entertainment business.

“There are lot of things to be done besides being on stage. You need to have something to fall back on just in case your music or chosen art does not work for you,” he added.
