Wyebank landfill site temporary closed

The City apologised for the inconvenience and advised residents to dispose of their garden refuse at the Mariannhill landfill site.

RESIDENTS have been requested to dispose of their garden refuse at the Mariannhill Landfill as the Wyebank site is currently full due to operational challenges.

THE City’s Cleansing and Solid Waste Unit (CSW) announced last week that the eThekwini garden refuse sites have reverted to their normal working hours which are from 7am to 5pm daily.

 “A plan to clear and make space available as soon as practically possible is in action and a notice will be communicated once the site is cleared and open for public use. We request residents to adhere to the Covid protocols and onsite instructions,” said eThekwini Municipality spokesperson, Msawakhe Mayisela.

  “The City apologises for the inconvenience caused,” he said.
