Young Embo man drives off in brand new wheels

The 1000 Hills SPAR in Botha's Hill was buzzing with excitement during the official handover on Friday, 29 January.

THE joy felt by a young Upper Highway resident who last week drove away in a brand new car was evident.

Siboniso Nduli from Embo, who works as a general worker in Westville, was the lucky winner of the Hyundai Grand i10 in the SPAR Win-A-Car competition.

Lucky winner, Siboniso Nduli with his brother, Sithembiso Nduli.

Accompanied by his younger brother, Sithembiso, the 28-year-old said words can not even begin to describe his elation.

“I am more than happy, I am so thankful,” he said.

Nduli said he received a call in December telling him he had won.

“I was just buying groceries for my family which included polony. I filled in the slip and put it in a box. I did not expect to win, there were so many entries,” said a happy Nduli.

Jeffrey Daw from SPAR said it has been heartwarming to see the excitement on the winner’s face as well as the staff and shoppers.
