Highway sales rep will be fondly remembered
The friendly Vanessa Rampersadh passed away on 1 January due to Covid-19 related illnesses.
THE beginning of a new year brings hope and a fresh start but for the Govender family, it will be a constant reminder of the passing of a beloved sister, daughter and a mother.
Highway Mail sales rep, Vanessa Rampersadh died on 1 January due to Covid-19 related illnesses.

Vanessa, who will be remembered for her friendly nature, positive attitude and lovely smile and giggle by her colleagues, was born on 22 October 1966 in Durban.
She matriculated at Crossmoor Secondary School, in Chatsworth and went on to study at University of Durban Westville where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
Her sister, Roshine Govender said she and Vanessa were not just sisters but also best friends.

‘We did everything together, shopping, dining out and always consulted with each other before making major decisions.
“A start to the new year will never be the same for my family, it is a depiction of our great loss and a constant reminder of the death of my sister,” said Govender.
Vanessa started working at the Highway Mail in September 2019 and in that short time, she made a remarkable impact on the hearts of her colleagues and will be missed dearly.
Sales manager, Sarah Braithwaite described Vanessa as a calm and serene person who had a quiet manner but strong determination to succeed and always did her best.

“Vanessa was very family orientated and a strong single mother who put her daughter first. She was a friendly person by nature, she cared for everyone and was always willing to help,” said Braithwaite.
Vanessa was not just an employee but a family member of the Caxton family who will always be remembered and treasured.
“She was an asset to the company, she worked hard and did her job very well,” added Braithwaite.
Vanessa is survived by her daughter (Rishleen), her mom, dad, brother, sister and nephew.
