PHOTOS: Volunteers rise up to support Upper Highway charity

The Bellevue Café area was abuzz with activity as volunteers buttered, sliced and packed hundreds of sandwiches for World Food Day.

DOZENS of volunteers, working in 30-minute shifts, gave of their time to make 2 000 sandwiches for Zero2Five and Bellevue Café’s recent World Food Day initiative.

Once made, the sandwiches were packaged into lunchboxes and donated to several early childhood development centres and orphan care facilities in the Upper Highway area.

The importance is in the preparation work for Jenny Fuller and Kelly Wheeler.
Sally Engelbrecht, a Bellevue regular, is only too glad to volunteer her time to make sandwiches for those in need.
