Woman’s body found dumped at Inanda sports ground

The woman was found with her hands bound and her throat slit.

POLICE are appealing for help to identify the body of a young white woman who was found by residents in Inanda at 7am on Monday, 2 November.

“The unknown female in her 20s was found by the community members at the sportsground at Newtown A with her throat slit and hands cut,” said KZN police spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele.

The deceased was described by a bystander as a thin woman with dark hair.
According to the bystander, the woman was dressed in black jacket, red t-shirt and black shoes.

The bystander also said it didn’t appear as if the woman had been killed in the area but rather her body had been dumped there after her death.

“A case of murder was opened at Inanda police station for investigation. Anyone with information on the incident or the identity of the deceased is urged to contact their local police or Crime Stop on 08600 10111,” said Mbele.
