Fabulous reads – Schimmel’s latest novel will grip you

Book review - Two Months by Gail Schimmel.

Two Months, Gail Schimmel, Pan Macmillan, ISBN: 9781 7701 07106

I WAS so excited to pick this novel up as I was really in the mood to binge-read something filled with suspense, and Schimmel did more than impress with this book!

Erica wakes up to discover that she can’t remember two months of her life, and would like to know what she has missed. Within that time she also lost her job and her friends. Her husband, Kenneth, remains mum on the topic and refuses to tell her why.

As one would with a freshly unpacked puzzle, Erica slowly begins to put the pieces together to find out what happened to her.

She believes that her husband is covering something up and, when she really begins to dig deep to find answers, she suspects he may be having an affair. While trying to find out who this other woman may be, she meets Bryan, who is putting up posters of a friend who disappeared and they exchange numbers.

Without giving too much away, believe me when I say this intriguing read will have you questioning every angle of reality. It was so riveting that I couldn’t help but devour the entire book on a recent rainy weekend.
