Man (22) sentenced to life imprisonment for Wyebank murder
It is reported that the deceased, Thami Mthembu (43), was at his residence when Tiny Mabaso stormed into the house and shot him. A Toyota Avanza, television set and two cellphones were stolen.
A 22-YEAR-OLD man, who was arrested for a murder in Wyebank, was sentenced to life imprisonment at the Durban High Court on Friday, 18 September.

Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele said the victim, Thami Mthembu (43), was at his residence on Fannin Road in Wyebank when Tiny Mabaso stormed into the house and shot the deceased.
Manqele said a Toyota Avanza, television set and two cellphones belonging to the deceased were also stolen during the robbery.
According to Manqele, the victim was shot once in the foot and died at the scene.
He confirmed a case of house robbery and murder had been opened at the Pinetown Police Station.
Swift police investigation led to the arrest of Mabaso four days after the incident and he was charged for house robbery and murder.
“The accused was further sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for house robbery, eight years for possession of unlicensed firearm and five years for possession of ammunition,” explained Manqele.
The accused made several appearances in court before he was convicted and sentenced.
