Rotary Club of Kloof virtually welcomes new president

The Rotary Club of Kloof hosted a virtual induction last week to welcome its new president.

THE 40th Rotary Club of Kloof induction dinner was held via Zoom last week due to the Covid-19 restrictions, and its members virtually welcomed their incoming president, Reg Courtney (below), for the 2020/21 year.

Despite the social distancing, each one of the Rotarians and dignitaries dressed up for the occasion in the comfort of their homes, and the MC for the evening was Zoom master, Rotarian Gordon Rechner.

As the new president of the local club, Reg Courtney, in his opening address, made it clear that the club would remain committed to continue serving the local community, despite the Covid-19 restrictions.

Reg then thanked the outgoing president, Glenys Dore, for her efforts during the past year.

He also invited all members of the public to view the work done by Kloof Rotary by visiting its website, www.kloofrotary.co.za.
