Help keep Rhumbelow Theatre afloat

Donations from the public will help performers keep bread and butter on the table.

THE Rhumbelow Theatre would like to thank everyone who has supported the Rhumbelow Theatre Loss Series.

Through this process, the Rhumbelow has raised enough funds to maintain the theatre overheads for April and May 2020 and to support some of their performers.

May tracked at half of April and sadly June is again tracking at half of May revenue.

While there has been an announcement by government that theatres under strict guidelines can re-open, it is going to have many challenges and with restricted numbers may not be viable.

The team at Rhumbelow is investigating the options and costs, while they await the government guidelines for theatres. (not yet published)

The challenge will be to maintain this momentum for the next six months or so. They have loaded more than 100 shows that have been previously recorded.

The funds raised have been over multiple shows and performers and while the theatre has meet its monthly costs, they still have a huge shortfall in being able to adequately support many of the performers.

Rhumbelow Loss Series (lockdown online streaming shows):

Over 100 shows available.
Please email the theatre for a list of available shows and how many people are watching with a minimum donation of R 100 per head and they  will send you the shows link.

Email roland@stansell.co.za to support this initiative to keep the Rhumbelow afloat and it will help the relevant performers keep bread and butter on the table. All donations are welcome
