Dress in your favourite 60s attire for charity

This fun virtual event takes place on Wednesday, 24 June via Zoom.

THE 7th Annual Mum’s Mail Ladies Breakfast, in support of The Sunflower Fund and sponsored by Maritzburg Arch Lifestyle Centre, is fast approaching.

This year’s theme is Flower Power; think the 60s hippie fashion such as bell bottoms, floaty blouses and peace signs.

This fun virtual event takes place on Wednesday, 24 June 2020 via Zoom from 9am to 10.30am.Booking is essential and tickets cost R100 per person and includes two raffle tickets.

Ladies are encouraged to dress to the theme, make their favourite breakfast and sign on for a morning of inspirational guest speakers and fun. Basic requirements for successful participation include a stable internet connection and a computer or smartphone device with a camera.

There will be an enviable raffle prize up for grabs at only R10 a ticket and a few prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed guests.

This year’s line-up includes a presentation by Peach Piche from Fresh Eyes who will be speaking on ‘How to Blossom despite the challenges’ as well as a presentation by Estelle van Gelder from DandyLine Organisers who will be speaking on ‘A mediocre life post lockdown’.

Guests can expect a full how to guide before the event to familiarise themselves with what to expect.

Funds raised from the event will enable The Sunflower Fund to create awareness as well as educate and recruit more blood stem cell donors.

This is fundamental in offering the hope of life to patients suffering from life-threatening blood diseases like leukaemia and who need a blood stem cell transplant from a matching donor.
