Pinetown welfare appeals for food donations

THE Pinetown Highway Child and Family Welfare Society food rooms are empty and it is desperately in need of food donations.

Lunga Chiliza said there are still many of their clients who come knocking on their doors for food parcels.

“People are desperate and it is so hard to turn them away empty-handed. The society has been struggling before this pandemic and it is getting worse,” she said.

Chiliza said they are also desperately in need of children’s clothing aged from newborn to 12 years, food and nappies.

“Non perishable food will also be welcome as we also provide food parcels.”
