Pinetown burglar caught red-handed, arrested 

The suspect was caught with copper pipes believed to have been stolen from the premises.

AN alleged burglar was arrested after he was caught with what is believed to be stolen copper pipes at the weekend.

Private security apprehended the suspect while he was attempting to jump over the back wall of a property on Windsor Road on Sunday.

“Our officer was responding to an alarm activation and while searching the property saw a suspect busy fleeing the scene with a plastic bag in his possession,” said Blue security spokesman, Andreas Mathios.

The copper pipes are believed to have been stolen from an air-conditioning unit on the premises.

Mathios confirmed that the suspect had been handed over to Pinetown SAPS.
