Runners make great strides

More than 1 000 runners laced up to compete in the Kearsney Striders' annual half marathon and 10km races.

HUNDREDS of avid athletes gathered at the Greyhound Sports Field at Kearsney College to compete in the ND Engineering Half Marathon or 10km races, hosted by Kearsney Striders, at the weekend.

There were 896 finishers in the 21.1km run, 596 runners completed the 10km event and there were 65 finishers in the 10km walk.
