IEB matric results: Curro Hillcrest

LEARNERS and staff once again celebrated a 100 per cent pass rate and a 97.4 per cent Bachelor’s Degree pass rate.

Chad Millard achieved 9 subject distinctions in English, Afrikaans, mathematics, life orientation, accounting, business studies, information technology, physical sciences and AP mathematics.

He also achieved an overall aggregate of 90 per cent. Chad was placed in the top 1 per cent for mathematics and Advanced Programme mathematics.

Rebecca Askew achieved 7 subject distinctions and an overall aggregate of 88 per cent and was placed in the top 1 per cent for life sciences and history.

Hannah Savides achieved 6 subject distinctions and an overall aggregate of 89 per cent. Hannah was placed in the top 1 per cent in life sciences and life orientation.

The average across all subjects was 71 per cent while 11 of its learners placed in the top 1 per cent of the country.

“We congratulate the matrics of 2019 for their excellent final IEB results. We are delighted with their outstanding overall performance and are incredibly proud of their achievements. Such a contribution to the ongoing academic legacy of our school is the result of a collaborative effort and dedication of our learners, educators and parents,” said Curro Hillcrest’s head of academics and acting deputy head, Terri Dennis.
