Musos to brighten up your weekend

TALENTED musos, Roarke Angelbright and Rustic Spring, will bring their songs to Music in The Shed, 57 Inanda Road, Hillcrest, on Friday, 1 November from 6.30pm.

Guests can expect an entertaining evening of indie/folk music; a combination of easy-listening, foot-tapping covers and deep, meaningful original music. The event will combine guitars, bass, ukulele, live-looping, harmonies, soloing and storytelling.

Roarke Angelbright is an independent singer-songwriter, born and raised in Durban. He defines his music as alternative-folk as he combines elements of rock, folk, blues and even hip-hop to craft his brand of life-inspired songwriting.

His debut EP released in late 2018 and several songs were play-listed on radio-stations throughout the country. In-between national touring, Roarke has been working on recording his second EP.

He has a handful of shows left in the country as he prepares to embark on a tour of Ireland and the UK next year.

Rustic Spring is a trio of folk singer-songwriters, Cheryl Joelson, Roly Struckmeyer and Kayla Vosloo. Their collection of east-listening covers and catchy original music has graced stages throughout KZN since 2018.

Entrance is R100 per person and tickets can be bought at the door. Guests can bring their own alcohol, but food and light drinks will be on sale.
