Police seek deceased’s relatives

The man was assaulted in the Pinetown CBD by community members.

PINETOWN police are looking for the family of an African man who is only known as Philani.

Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele, said it is alleged that on 26 August 2019, the man was assaulted by the members of the community after he was accused of committing a robbery in the Pinetown CBD.

The man, who is about 30 years old, died due to his injuries on 3 September 2019 at RK Khan Hospital.
