CURRO Hillcrest Christian Academy’s SPAR Star of the Month is Isabella Ambrosio.
She recently competed in the U11 Girls’ Laser Run Final at the World Champs in Budapest, Hungary. It was a very tough and closely-contested race as 32 athletes from 11 countries competed in the event.
Isabella performed to the best of her ability and snapped up seventh place overall. She also achieved a personal best in her shooting times. One shoot required her to hit five green lights in under six seconds.
Together with her team mates, Tatiana Thomatos and Larah Aucamp, Team South Africa received silver medals for coming in second in the team race.
“I don’t think many things in life can beat the feeling of coming home from a world championship with something to show for it,” said Grant Ambrosio.
