NPO inspires others to do more

The Do More Foundation now aims to make 100 000 sandwiches on World Food Day this October.

THE Durban-based Do More Foundation recently won the award for Collaboration/Partnership for Change at First Rand’s Beyond Painting Classrooms 2019 conference.

The event was held at the Wanderers Sports Club in Johannesburg and is a platform to inspire and encourage volunteering in corporates and non-profit organisations across South Africa.

The event was used to honour both corporates and non-profit organisations that do outstanding work in the volunteering space in three categories: inspiring leadership, collaboration and partnership for change and creating and measuring for impact.

All entries for each category went through a stringent evaluation process and entries were scrutinised and interrogated by a panel of judges.

“It is amazing that in the two years the organisation has been around, we can be acknowledged for the work we are doing among the big organisations, whether private or non-profit. While we certainly don’t do the work we do to win awards, it is a great honour and the acknowledgement, as a foundation part of RCL Foods, inspires us to Do More,” said the Do More Foundation’s executive, Warren Farrer.
