Roseway’s Lindo makes KZN side
Lindo will be representing Roseway and the Upper Highway when he dons his KZN colours.
ROSEWAY Waldorf’s Lindo Zungu has been selected to represent the KZN U19A side on 28 June 2020 in a national tournament in Johannesburg.
The Grade 10 learner is only 17 years old and is already representing the province in an age group above his own.
The Barcelona and Orlando Pirates supporter credits his school and parents for his recent success.

“I have high hopes and the school has always supported me,” he said. “Without my parents’ support, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

There are six families involved in the care of Lindo as well as the school who gives him support.
Lindo plays in midfield as a central attacking midfielder and defensive midfield, much like his idols, Brazil’s Phillipe Coutinho and Dutch international, Frenkie De Jong.
He has aspirations of taking his football around the globe. “I definitely want to start playing professionally for a South African team and then go overseas, somewhere like England,” said Lindo, who wants to follow in Coutinho’s shoes and play in the English Premier League.
The former Amazulu youth product has gone through some stumbling blocks leading up to this major provincial selection.
“At one stage, I didn’t believe in myself. For about a month I didn’t get selected for anything.
“Then I realised that there’s no point in other people believing in you if you don’t believe in yourself, so I started to believe in myself and my abilities.”
