A case of robbery will be opened at Westville police station.

Pavilion general Manager, Nisha Kemraj confirmed the incident and said the robbery took place at a jewellery store in the centre before trading hours.

She said the perpetrators made off with an undisclosed amount of merchandise.

“There were no major injuries to tenants or customers. The Centre’s security as well as the South African Police Service (SAPS) responded immediately to the scene.”

Kemraj added that the safety and security of the shoppers is of utmost importance and the security team is working closely with SAPS to assist with the investigation.
