ST Mary’s DSG’s high school SPAR Star of the Month is Grade 11 learner, Yeyethu Madasa.
Yeyethu has been selected to play squash for the U19 KZN squash team. She is also a member and captain of her school’s 1st Squash Team.
When she isn’t busy playing squash, she plays in the senior marimba band and is involved in the Durban Youth Council and Gavel Club.
In Term 1 Yeyethu completed the Dale Carnegie course and also piloted the ‘Secure the Bag’ initiative where she encouraged the St Mary’s family to donate used bags to underprivileged learners at Mnamatha School. The bags were anything from school bags and sports bags to tote bags.
