Woman accused of kidnapping, murdering Pinetown girl declines bail
It is alleged Siphumelele's body was also mutilated.
PROTESTERS gathered outside the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court where the woman accused of kidnapping and murdering Siphumelele Mzimba (10) from Nazareth, Pinetown, appeared today.
The 39-year-old woman has opted to remain in police custody as she fears fury from the community.

Siphumelele’s decomposing body was found near the accused’s home three weeks after she disappeared.
It is alleged that her body was mutilated and her arms and feet were tied up.
The MEC for Social Development in KwaZulu-Natal, Nonhlanhla Khoza also attended the court case.
The woman was arrested shortly after the child’s disappearance and was charged with kidnapping.
A charge of murder was added after Siphumelele’s body was found. The woman will appear again in court Tuesday, 2o August.
