Go the extra mile for Kloof SPCA

This year’s theme is Lumo - so break out your most colourful lumo gear make your way down to the Kloof and Highway SPCA's Mutt Mile.

THE Kloof and Highway SPCA’s annual Mutt Mile Dog Walk returns and will be held on Sunday, 30 June at 29 Village Road, Kloof. This year’s theme is Lumo – so break out your most colourful lumo gear and you could win a prize for being the best dressed.

The Kloof and Highway SPCA’s Brigitte Rossouw, said, “Our Mutt Mile Dog Walk, made possible by our wonderful sponsors, Hill’s Pet Nutrition and Bravecto, promises to be an exciting morning for the family, especially the four-legged members. All 11 charity shops will be open from 8.30am to 12.30pm and will be filled with goods and bargains.”

Registration will be from 9am and the walk takes place from 9am to 11am for owners and their dogs to enjoy the scenic 1.6km walking route through the reserve.

The cost is R50 per adult, R20 per dog and children under 12 enter for free.

The first 200 entrants will receive goodie bags. There will be lots of fun games and a DJ to keep you entertained for the morning. The MC this year is Rory Petzer and Pongo the Dog – a proud SPCA adoptee.
