Forest View twirls to sixth spot

While the girls are saddened they didn't make it to nationals, they are grateful to their coaches and family for the continued support.

FOREST View Primary School’s drum majorettes claimed sixth place in the recent Champion of Champions KZNMCA Majorettes and Cheerleading Finals at Dokkies.

The team of 16 competed in five displays: small drill, mace group, baton group, flag group and pom non-prop.

Jade Ryan, the team’s captain, said she first took part in the extracurricular activity three years ago and loves it.

“I started drummies three years ago to meet new people and now they feel like sisters to me. We work really hard together and we were a bit disappointed not to qualify for nationals this year. We love drummies and appreciate all the hard work our coaches do for us,” she said.
