Go back in time and support local crafters at Pineville Junction

Why not dig out, bag up and donate unwanted goods to the Once Upon a Time charities and crafters shop which is located at Pineville Junction.

IN a forgotten historical village in Pinetown, there is a little gem charity and crafter’s shop called Once Upon a Time.

The shop is located in an old farm-style house with a wrap-around veranda in Pineville Craft Junction, 81 Stapleton Road, (opposite Sandy’s Centre) Pinetown.

This house was originally built in the Manors and was taken down and rebuilt at Pineville Craft Junction by Ken Tibbett and his team more than 30 years ago.

This ‘little gem’ has been going for more than a year and has now expanded to include a small tea garden, which offers homemade goodies, a book room, children’s and baby room, crafters and charity rooms. Anyone who feels like going back in time, can pop into the shop and browse around.

The newly crowned local ‘Miss Teen KwaZulu-Natal 2019, Danielle Visser, popped at the local charity and crafters shop recently

Danielle represents Role Model Foundation (RMF) and as part of her reign, she would like to help RMF open a campaign for anti-bullying in KZN.

The fact that the Role Model Foundation is not widely known in Durban, Danielle will be selling lollipops and hoping for any kind of help so that she can start printing materials to bring the anti-bullying awareness to the Highway community.

The lollipops are only R10 each and will go to a really great cause. Danielle asked Christina Hemming from Once Upon a Time if she could help sell the lollipops in her shop and in return, she will help where she can, promote the charities the shop supports.

Once upon a Time charity and crafters shop has 14 charity beneficiaries and 26 crafters.

Support these charities by donating unwanted goods.

The shop is open on Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am to 3.30pm, Saturday 10am to 12.30pm, first Sunday of the month, 10am to noon and is closed on Mondays.
