The second suspect is still at large.

AN alleged thief was arrested by a Blue Security armed response officer in Crestholme on Sunday.

Blue Security’s community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios, said the officer was patrolling the neighbourhood in the vicinity of Crestholme Drive when he spotted two suspicious individuals walking along the road at about 12.30pm.

He gave chase and apprehended one of the suspects in Crestholme Drive. Upon further investigation it was established that an incident of theft had occurred in that road earlier that day. The homeowner positively identified the recovered items and they were handed back to him at the scene.

The suspect was handed over to the police at the scene. The second suspect remains at large.
