Chic Mamas raise money with fashion

THE princely sum of R50 000 was raised at the Chic Mamas Do Care Fashion Fair extravaganza recently.

This extravaganza was held in the beautiful setting of Calissa lodge in Cowies Hill and the rails were filled with gorgeous items, brand new or high-quality, pre-loved boutique style clothing.

Head of the Mama team, Jenny Du Bois, said the Chic Mamas team is absolutely delighted with the amount that was raised.

“It will help us to get our latest project off the ground. We are planning to set up another well-equipped crèche in a disadvantaged area to ensure that children in the local community has access to preschool education.”

She said before the event, the team appealed to the community to donate quality garments and accessories which were snapped up by delighted shoppers at the fashion fair.

“Our team is passionate about education and believe that the importance of Early Childhood Development. Children need the opportunity to grow in a safe and stimulating environment.”

The Chic Mama Durban team thanked all their donors and supporters who helped to make the fair a success. More Chic Mamas fashion fairs have been planned for later this year so that those who missed out will still have the opportunity to experience boutique shopping at bargain prices.
