WIN: Talented duo brings the glitz to Sneddon

ITS glitzy, its glamorous, it’s Ian von Memerty, together with his ‘better half’, Vivienne in their latest production Putting on the Glitz, coming to the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on UKZN campus from 3 to 7 April.

Returning to Durban by popular demand, Ian von Memerty renowned for his A Handful of Keys and Strictly Come Dancing roles, and his wife Vivienne, a former SA National Latin and Ballroom Champion are putting on a short season of six shows which promises to be pure spectacular entertainment.

From their African Elegance Show they take the audience on a musical tour of South Africa from Waka Waka to Pata Pata: from Homeless to Hope Joanna: from Los Lappie to Lakushone Langa. Music that grabs you by the heart and rhythms that will get you jiving in your seat.

And from A Touch of Class they put you In The Mood with some sequined style as they are Putting On The Ritz, to the sultry sizzle of Sway and The Samba, and the showbiz showstopper Never Had A Friend Like Me, as well as the powerful poignancy of Bojangles and Memory.

Von Memerty brings his pianistic fireworks, and the years of their creative connection are revealed with a seamless symmetry and a uniquely powerful partnership. Wrap all this up in dazzling costumes, lithe and lovely choreography, and loads of laughter and you have escapist entertainment that will lift your spirits.
