Clermont online radio station promises waves of change

Clermont Voice Radio will be launched on Friday, 14 December.

WHAT started off as just a vision more than 20 years ago is now becoming a reality for the founders of a new radio station.

The online radio station, Clermont Voice Radio will be officially launched on Friday, 14 December from 10am to 1pm at their offices inside the Clermont Clinic premises.

With the slogan Eyethu Sonke (It’s for everyone), the founders are looking at tackling different issues that are affecting the Clermont area and surrounding communities.

“We are looking at venturing out eventually but we have many interesting people and NGOs which are doing so much good for the community. We will also be looking at current affairs and on the lighter side we will be playing music for all age groups,” said communications and brand manager, Mduduzi Ntuli.

He said the station will also benefit young people who want to take a career in media or marketing to get exposure.

“There are many young people who are studying journalism or marketing who can use this station as a starting ground and get exposure,” he said.

He invited people to support this venture by supporting the launch and encouraged businesses who want to advertise or sponsor the radio station to help reach its goal.

“This has been long time coming and it would not have been possible with many members who are founders who offered their different skills and put in ideas together. Unfortunately some of them could not be here for an interview because of other commitments.”

Ntuli sent a huge thank you to the Clermont Youth Centre who provided them with an office space. To tune in from Friday visit https://clermontvoiceradio.co.za/
