Armed robbers strike at Kloof restaurant

The three armed men are still at large.

A BUSINESS robbery case is being investigated by Pinetown SAPS after three armed men forced their way into local restaurant, Stokers Arms, at 5am today.

According Pinetown SAPS communications officer, Bongumusa Manqele, two cellphones, a wrist watch, a TV set, R500 and alcohol of an unknown amount were taken.

“The security had escaped and tried to get help, but was apprehended by the suspects at gunpoint before he could alert anyone,” he said.

Restaurant owner, Guy Stone said, “The crime in this country is off the charts and within the 11 years that I have owned Stokers Arms we have had three incidences of robbery.”

Stone added that they have beefed up their security over the years and he applauded Ensure and Blue Security for their swift response.

The three men are still at large.
