31 Club spreads Christmas cheer at Durban pre-school

Clare Ellis Brown Pre-School caters for 95 children between two and six years

THE 31 Club members enjoyed a memorable morning at the Clare Ellis Brown Pre-School in the Point area where their 70th birthday was celebrated.

The club has supported this pre-school for many years.

It caters for 95 children between two and six years and is run by dynamic principal, Nora Saneka and her team of dedicated staff who, despite facing immeasurable challenges, are able to provide a safe haven for their little charges and prepare them for ‘big’ school.

The 31 Club has enjoyed the school’s year-end concert, and this year, to mark the milestone birthday, and with the help of our family, friends and supporters, provided substantial personalised hampers for each child containing clothing, toiletries, toys, stationery and sweet treats in a reusable container, delivered personally by Father Christmas.

“We were again blown away by the wonderful Nativity Play put on for us together with parents, representatives from North Beach Spar who built the new library and provided a delicious 70th birthday cake, cupcakes and juices; SA Home Loans and the Learn Project who equipped the library and Hirsch’s who supplied cappuccinos for the celebratory tea that followed the concert and Grade R graduation.”
