Help empower Penny on her journey

Hillcrest's Penny Rimmer has qualified to compete for South Africa at the 2018 IPF African Powerlifting Championships in Morocco.

HILLCREST resident, Penny Rimmer is new to the Powerlifting scene but has claimed massive achievements in her short career.

She started Crossfit in 2016 and after a year and some encouragement from her coach, she made the switch to Powerlifting.

After a few months of training, she entered her first local competition which resulted in her qualifying for the IPF South African National Championship, winning gold in her class and breaking the SA Deadlift Record in the process (which she has since broken again in practise).

After this incredible performance Penny was invited to represent South Africa at the World Championships in Calgary, Canada in June of 2018. Sadly, due to financial constraints, she was unable to accept the invitation.
