Going nowhere Durban project a disgrace

"Billions have been spent with huge disruptions to the centre of Pinetown and surrounds and then all activity simply stops," Disgusted, Pinetown.

IN reference to the “Go Nowhere Durban project”. I find it so hard to believe that this project, with all its fits and starts, has now come to a complete standstill!

What are the reasons for these delays?  Billions have been spent with huge disruptions to the centre of Pinetown and surrounds and then all activity simply stops, leaving half complete roadworks. There are also diversions for traffic and to top it off, permanent guards on duty ( 24-hrs no doubt) to take care of equipment, building materials and the half completed bus terminals with their shiny chrome finishes. (Highly pilfer-rable items for our roaming metal merchants). What are these guards costing taxpayers on a daily basis?

I am also told that hundreds of brand new buses are parked at King Shaka International airport waiting to be put to service? Why are we, as taxpayers, not kept up to date on this programme with details on when and how the “issues” are going to be solved? It’s truly unbelievable and it reeks of inefficiencies and political interference.
