Kloof Project ushers in new era

The Keep Kloof Beautiful Association has undergone an exciting rebrand as the Kloof Project.

THE Keep Kloof Beautiful Association’s (KKBA) members have taken a bold new step to not only re-invent the group but will be accompanied by a fresh rebrand to appeal to a wider Kloof audience.

The organisation will be known as The Kloof Project. Its shorter, snappier name implies on-going work to improve the aesthetics of Kloof.

The KKBA was the recipient of a CSI initiative, taken up by iti in Bellevue Campus, and the team there took the work of the organisation to heart and ran with fresh ideas and methodology to reinvigorate its image and reach.

“Our new logo has a pictorial representation covering the broad scope of our activities, cleverly incorporated into a heart depicting our love of Kloof! Which of us don’t love Kloof?” remarked the group’s secretary, Sandra Wickee.

The project’s treasurer, Rob Storrar, said, “Projects will take on a new slant, and businesses in the area will be encouraged by the fact we have just been awarded a Section 18A status from SARS, which has tax benefits for companies investing back into the community they work within.”

“We will be using Zapper on all communication tools, to make donations and membership sign ups easier. We believe this trend of speed and convenience of commitment is the way to go.”

The group of dedicated volunteers that made up the KKBA said the news would have a direct and positive impact on the community they serve.

The changes included a clearly defined set of values that would appeal to a wider audience of Kloof residents, both young and old.

The work done by the NPO will be instantly recognisable, acknowledged and supported by all who shop, work and live in Kloof.

The future looks bright for this group of residents who have a passion for keeping Kloof aesthetically pleasing.
