Teenage boy injured in Pinetown freak accident

The 17-year-old boy tripped and fell onto a branch in Stapleton Road.

A TEENAGE boy was hospitalised this morning following a freak incident on a gravel walkway along Stapleton Road in Pinetown.

According to ER24 spokesman, Russel Meiring, paramedics found a teacher standing alongside a 17-year-old boy.

“Paramedics assessed the boy and found that he had been impaled in the face by a branch. It is understood the boy had been walking when he tripped and fell onto the branch,” said Meiring.

The boy was treated for his injuries and was thereafter transported to Life Crompton for further treatment.
