Take note of Comrades road closures
Be aware of the times of the many road closures as thousands of people make their way down to Durban during the Comrades.
THE 93rd running of the world’s biggest and oldest ultra-marathon will be a ‘Down Run’ from Pietermaritzburg to Durban on Sunday, 10 June.
Start Chief Albert to Luthuli Road will be closed from 11.55pm to 8am.
Chief Albert Luthuli Road to Alan Paton Road will be closed from 2am to 6.30am.
Alan Paton Road to the N3 Freeway will be closed from 4am to 6.30am.
Market Road to Polly Shortts will be closed from 4am to 7.45am.
Polly Shortts to Ashburton Road will be closed from 5am to 8.30am.
Ashburton Road to N3 Lion Park will be closed from 5am to 8.45am.
N3 Lion Park to Umlaas Road will be closed from 5.15am to 9.45am.
Umlaas Road to Camperdown will be closed from 5.30am to 10.30am.
Camperdown to Cato Ridge town area will be closed from 6am to 11am.
Cato Ridge town area will be closed from 6.15am to 11.20am.
Cato Ridge town area to Eddie Hagan Road will be closed from 6.30am to 11.40am.
Eddie Hagan Road to Thousand Hills Drive will be closed from 6.30am to noon.
Thousand Hills Drive to Halfway will be closed from 6.45am to 1pm.
Halfway to Alverstone Road will be closed from 7am to 1.15am.
Alverstone Road to Kassier Road will be closed from 7.30am to 2pm.
Kassier Road to Inanda Road will be closed from 7.45am to 2.30pm.
Inanda Road to Winston Park will be closed from 8am to 3pm.
Winston Park to Everton Road will be closed from 8am to 3.15pm.
M13 West Bound will be closed from 8am to 4pm.
Kloof Old Main Road to M13 West Bound will be closed from 8am to 3.45pm.
Bottom of Fields Hill to St Johns Avenue will be closed from 8am to 4.15pm.
St Johns Avenue to Otto Volek will be closed from 8am to 4.30pm.
Otto Volek to King Cetshwayo Highway will be closed from 8am to 5pm.
King Cetshwayo Highway to 45th Cutting will be closed from 8am to 5.15pm.
45th Cutting to Sherwood on ramp will be closed from 9am to 5.30pm.
N3 East Bound will be closed from 8am to 6pm.
N3 David Webster and Braam Fischer Street will be closed from 7am to 8pm.
Corner of Samora Machel and Masbalala Yengwa (NMR) Ave to Moses Mabhida Stadium will be closed from 7am to 9.30pm.
