Support pours in for Child Protection Week

In support of Child Protection Week, supporters marched to the Pinetown Magistrate's Court with placards and posters.

DOZENS of bikers gathered at BMW Motorrad in support of the Department of Social Development’s rally against child abuse on Friday.

The march, in observation of Child Protection Week, saw supporters gather and march to the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court with placards that read “hoot to support no abuse to children!”

Those in support of the awareness march included bikers, creche owners and staff as well as social workers.

After the march, the bikers revved up more support during a ride down to Durban.

Social worker, Jenipher Sewsunker, said, “A big thank you to Zulfi Khan from BMW Motorrad for organising the bikers, my husband, Suresh, for planning the event and to each person who responded.”
