Browns’ school praises SPCA inspectors

The donation followed the selfless work that was done by the Kloof SPCA to remove four kittens that were trapped in the school.

SUPERB work done by Kloof and Highway SPCA inspectors to rescue four kittens that were trapped in Browns’ School, drove the school to hold a Civvies Day in aid of the SPCA.

The school principal, Colleen Bailey, presented the money they raised to Kloof SPCA manager, Barbara Patrick on Friday, 4 May during the school assembly.

Bailey said the commitment from the inspectors was selfless and impressive.

“Initially, they were called to rescue one kitten and discover three more. It was also late in the afternoon but they worked very hard to make sure the kittens were safely removed.

“The kittens appeared to be trapped between two walls on the roof section at the back of the school and the inspectors had to remove the air conditioning unit in order to access the kitten,” said Bailey.

Patrick thanked the school and the children for their donation and said the money will come in handy in doing their job of taking care of the animals.
