Splish splash aquatic fun at Headway gala

HEADWAY-NATAL members had a splashing good time at the annual gala at the Westville Swimming Pool recently.

The event was first held in 2010 and Myra Bagley, a physiotherapist at the non-profit organisation, arranged this year’s gala.

“We had 27 members taking part. It was a fun-filled day, well supported by families and friends,” said Headway-Natal’s manager, Colleen Marais.

Participants are entered into events based on their abilities and this is determined by the organisation’s physiotherapists.

“It was inspiring to see the competitiveness and camaraderie among the members,” said Colleen.

Times are recorded for each participant and are compared to the previous year’s results.

“Headway would like to thank the Staff of the Westville Swimming Pool for assisting us with hosting this annual event,” said Colleen.
