Renowned saxophonist performs with local duo at garden concert

Tickets, to be bought on the day, cost R150 each.

INTERNATIONAL saxophonist, Andrew Young, featuring pianist Paul Williams (South Africa) are back with their own unique brand of easy listening, smooth jazz and will appear at a garden concert hosted by Lindisfarne Bed and Breakfast in Botha’s Hill on Sunday, 11 March.

This year Andrew released his 12th album, Easy Street.

You can meet and greet Andrew and buy your own autographed copy of his latest CD.

Born in Liverpool, Andrew studied clarinet and saxophone from the age of eight.

Now an internationally, renowned, recording performing artist, he has performed for Queen Elizabeth at the Royal Festival Hall, worked with Dionne Warwick, Gino Vannelli, Shirley Bassey, Jonathan Butler, Sir James Galway and José Feliciano among others.

Hailed as ‘The Prince of the Saxophone’ you can look forward to a performance of awesome music fired by the energy of one of the most complete sax players on the scene today.

Opening for Andrew will be husband-and-wife duo, Inter-Alia, well known in the area for their eclectic choice of music which showcases Jane’s powerful vocal style and Paul’s mastery of the guitar.

Take along a picnic lunch, blankets and wine. Delicious hot chocolate and coffee will be on sale from The Coffee Guy. Gates open at 11.30am. Tickets, to be bought on the day, cost R150 each.
